Here we go…my first blog post! My brain just isn’t wired for computers, so this is an adventure. Today also marks the first time my new website appears! First, a big thank you to Mary who designed my first website five years ago and has done this refreshment now, as a special favor. (I’m not giving Mary’s full name because she has moved on to doing bigger websites.) Second, a farewell to the clothesline shot featured on the first website. It has a good spirit, but is a little funky now. Rugs are hard to photograph because they change from a rectangle to a trapezoid so easily. Photographer Tom McPherson has an overhead camera which does the trick. I loved that my work was photographed in his studio in the old Dana warp mill in Westbrook (Maine)….back to textile roots. From time to time, I would like to talk about textile things. I hope you will want to stay tuned!
